Pediatrics and ED Suite Renovation
2016 • Healthcare
The Medical Center of Aurora was seeking to renovate their existing pediatric unit and convert two of the rooms to function as pediatric intensive care rooms. Concurrently, the Pediatric Emergency Department was requiring a finish renovation consisting of five emergency rooms, an adjacent restroom and a nurse station.
Project scope included the demolition of interior walls and ceilings to prepare for a new department layout which has improved workflow and efficiency and caters to children in a kid friendly atmosphere. New interior finishes were specified throughout as well as updated interior lighting and signage. The nurse station in the Emergency Department was designed to provide a better workflow and more storage for the staff.
